Services
We provide consulting services for custom products as well as
standard analysis, requirements gathering on e-Commerce and
J2EE development. We also provide some ready-built product as
listed below.
FlexCorp
FlexCorp is a data management framework. It allows flexible
creation of data clusters - what we term 'entities'. An entity
could represent a person's details or the details of a company
or similarly grouped information.
The problem with traditional systems is that if you want to add
more details for an entity, there is a lot of work involved in
changing the interfaces for managing the new information. You
face the issues of:
- Storing the information
- Retrieving the information
- Requesting the information from the user
- Streaming the information to an external
system
Ask yourself how much programming is involved
if you want to add an age field to a person's details. With
FlexCorp-based applications, there is no programming. Have your
business analyst reconfigure the entity structure using the
FlexCorp Manager and the system will adapt for entry, storage
and retrieval.
In a service-oriented world, streamline your data integration
with FlexCorp-based systems. Adapt and integrate as the data
around you changes - because nothing ever stays the same.
To read more about the operation of FlexCorp, you can view the
PowerPoint presentation here.
FlexCorp Demos
Once you've read the theory you can view three applications
that show the flexibility of FlexCorp. These applications use
the same management interface and FlexCorp manages the
construction and retrieval of data that belongs to the
entities: diary entries, documents and products (books). The
demonstrations are:
The demonstrations are fully operational and run on very
minimal hardware. The Tomcat and JBoss application servers
are running on a Pentium II 500MHz with 192Mb RAM. The
Postgresql database is running on a Pentium 120MHz with 64Mb
RAM.
MobileFlex
Are you investing in your customers? Do your people have all
the information on your customers and their sites, where and
when they need it? Are you minimising your travel for a
callout? Have you considered streamlining customer
information delivery to your people in the field with
web-based services?
MobileFlex is a FlexCorp-based application that delivers
information on your customers, giving:
- Site location details including notes
- Site contacts including personnel titles and photo ids
- Image-based information such as parking, equipment and
site access photos
- Document-based information such as plant schematics and
building plans
- Parts-based inventory listings for site equipment
Give your call-centre, your supervisors and your
field-service staff the information to effectively work for
your customers. With MobileFlex, you can make sure they are
prepared to manage the customer relationship - professionally
equipped with customer knowledge. And with FlexCorp's
adaptive information technology, you can mold the service to
your needs - without the large programming overhead.
A demonstration is available at:
Login is 'operator' and the password is 'password' for
limited access. Otherwise contact us for a full demonstration
of the service and it's flexibility.
MobileWAP
An extension to MobileFlex, this is a wap application that is
a contact directory organised by customer site. The service
uses the same data and framework as MobileFlex. The
application employs the Open User Interface which optimises
the WAP experience for the different mobile browsers.
The best experience will be obtained by mobiles that use the
OpenWave browser. These browsers provide enhanced menu and
selection operation. They also support direct phone number
dial from WAP instructions. MobileWAP makes use of these
enhancements. Phones with these enhanced browsers include
Siemens, Alcatel, LG, Motorola and Samsung.
However, the MobileFlex interface has the capability to
gracefully degrade the service for less advanced mobile
browsers. These browsers will still be able to access most
functions in the application. The only service not available
is the direct dial of phone numbers from the application.
The interface also has an added bonus. Internet Explorer 6
supports the WAP WML generated so you can browse the
application directly.

of the service and it's flexibility.
CardFlex
Do you have a mobile workforce? Are you chasing approval
paper work for corporate credit card expenses and
reimbursement claims? Is your mobility hampered by the chase
for approvals of expenses?
You can benefit from an electronic, web-based solution that
improves the process flow by:
- Reducing incorrect cost allocations through help scripts
and on-screen selections
- Facilitating approvals for a mobile or geographically
separated workforce
- Minimising manual entry of expenses
CardFlex is an expense approval engine that can help
streamline your expense claim processes, delivering the
benefits we have listed. Making extensive use of FlexCorp
services, CardFlex provides a flexible, full-featured card
and expense management service in a J2EE infrastructure.
More information, including some screenshots can be obtained
from an document here. An overview of the collaboration process is given
in this document here.
A sample of the application functionality is available at:
Logins are 'Approver' and 'Requester' respectively and the
password is 'password'. The Approver holds the position of
Finance Manager and will be able to approve any Cost
Allocation requests for card purchases routed to this
position. Otherwise contact us for a full demonstration.
OrderFlex
Do you have complex product information? Do you want to
include physical specs and text information? Do you need to
configure and arrange the information and compare them in
tables? OrderFlex provides all this functionality, available
for configuration with minimal programming - in fact most
configurations can be conducted by your business analyst.
It has a sophisticated security service, delivering profiling
at both the menu level as well as the editing actions
available to a user. Additionally, it has a knowledge of
inter-relationships where users belong to organisations and
products belong to organisations. Users from other
organisations cannot edit these products.
OrderFlex also has an in-built shopping cart that saves your
latest goods if your session times out. You can also save
frequently used shopping lists for later recall. The order
management system allows customer-based pricing and order
fulfillment control. The system is designed for
business-to-business (B2B) selling and is based on past
experience with selling modes encountered at Sony Singapore
and Sony Australia. . Flexible, fast and connectable -
OrderFlex helps you deliver.
To read more about the development of OrderFlex, you can view
the notes provided here.
Once you've read the development documentation you can go

Catalogue login accounts are guest1 and guest2 with the
same passwords and these allow viewing access to different
products. For more privileged accounts please e-mail

Response
Tester
Response tester is a response measurement tool for checking
response times of the web server across the network. It is
used to obtain statistical indications of the impact of
network traffic on the user's browsing experience.
The FlexCorp framework delivers the measurement logging and
retrieval capabilities. There is also a charting service to
show the statistical spread of measurements, built around the
JOpenChart library. Response Tester provides a test harness
that the test engineer can reconfigure from the components.
The JSPs that form the basic application can be used as an an
example of how to use components for custom testing of
network response.
The application demonstration is available at:
Although this is not in our standard line of business
products, we found some demand for response testing in a
flexible harness that could run across multiple server
environments and at a fraction of the cost of some other
products on the market. The tester is a useful addition for
production rollout situations.
